SinoLogic Software was founded in 1991 by a group of scholars and educators at the University of California, Berkeley. Our company is dedicated to the development of top-quality multimedia works on Chinese language, art, and culture.
HyperChina - Interactive Chinese is only our first step. We have also just published the only WWW magazine designed for students of Chinese language - Chinese Learner's Alternative Site (CLAS).
However, we are not a language-only software company. See our unique Web site on Chinese avant-garde Web art/concrete poetry/virtual music/experimental Buddhist art/virtual performance art/multimedia and no-media conceptual art - Wonderfully Absurd Temple (or Miao Miao Miao in Chinese).
We have also launched two unique Chinese Web sites on the arts in 1996: Persimmon Magazine, which features the writings of our creativity navigator Jerlian Tsao, is the only Chinese Web magazine devoted to experimental fiction and arts, while New Music Web
, designed by our astral commander Dajuin Yao, is the only Chinese Web site dedicated to experimental music criticism.
Currently, our plans for future publishing include: a "surrealist" multimedia Chinese learning CD-ROM, creative multimedia works on Chinese art, and CD releases of sound/text art and experimental music on the Sounding Gourd label.
