喜歡不同樂種本來是再自然不過的了，只不過在大家都很小心眼的今天，還真是不多了呢！這個社會從來沒有多元化過，現在也是一樣。

Argerich, Bjork, Underworld... 你的品味很不錯，到底是學音樂的。

Goa trance 一般就算是丟在 techno 大類中的一支了，其實往往各流行標籤在舞曲中只是每分鐘多少拍 bpm 的速度差別而已。還跟 Goa 這個地方有沒有關係，或是能不能帶給人真正的 trance ，誰在乎呢？

順便一提，我現在正在聽的創作型 Goa trance 老將，英國 Juno Reactor 期待已久的最新唱片 Bible of Dreams 十分令人失望，比起數年前那一張 Beyond the Infinite 似乎並沒有什麼進步，聲音，樂器和技法都跟以前差不多。還是 Beyond... 裡那首 Guardian Angel 令人永遠難忘。因為不想再寫樂評了，所以在此說幾句。

聽 trance 等，要小心耳朵，學音樂還用得著呢！

Suggestions: It's no novelty about this website, but I do give credit just for the fact that people has putting in effort to maintain this. The review about John Zorn's "Orientalism" was something that probably isn't a big deal, but I do appreciate that someone says something about it........... as far as being a Chinese myself goes, not that I completely agree with the writer's view, but I do appreciate this old boring issue being mentioned

Thanks for "skipping through the unnecessary small talk" and getting down to the real issues. As you can see, I had not received any real feedback that relates to our subject here - music.

Frankly, I didn't personally enjoy writing about John Zorn (and many other artists included here), not a bit! But I just thought it was a pretty serious problem (the way people see him) and someone has to say something about it, for christ's sake. It's good that we've got that behind us; we don't have to deal with him anymore.

Thanks for your moral support, but I'm no longer interested in writing record reviews or meticulously updating this site, as i've done for the past 9 months. I'll just let these pages sit for a while before I think of something else...

前衛音樂網上其實並沒有什麼音樂檔可聽。只有首頁上不時更換的好玩的聲音採樣。只要用 Netscape 3.0 以上的版本都可聽到。 （Microsoft Internet Explorer 也可以，不過希望大家「有種」一點，共同抵制微軟公司的劣質軟體和流氓惡霸作風。）

本來打算在台北的某個號稱很愛好音樂的電台作一個播這些新音樂的節目，不過該台沒辦法接受太有原創性太不俗氣的音樂，因此作罷。 後會有期吧。

各國樂壇現況曲風等的討論，實際上就是「前衛音樂網」正在作的，只不過因為個人時間有限，無法作全面的介紹。其實，因為最近實在太忙，正打算撤掉這個網站。能繼續到哪一天也不知道…

至於 「另類且空靈的聲音」，在這個吵鬧的時代已經不多了！可以從「特稿」欄中的兩個推薦唱片單入手。

也可去看看 David Toop 或 John Schafer 的書。中文的實在是沒有。

在台北，可以去 2.31 咖啡館裡的唱片行看看。如果沒找到你要的，可請那兒的謝典銘先生幫忙。網路上倒是可買到絕大部份的：如

可以從這本書開始：

Paul Griffiths: Modern Music: A Concise History (Thames, 1994, $15).

是一本概論性的書。但是符合你的要求。同作者還有兩本專門談一九四五年以後的音樂的大書，但是他本人不是作音樂的，耳朵也不太敏銳，思想又太保守，所以不推薦給你。

我想這本，加上我剛在特稿頁加上的『前衛音樂書目』中所提到的 David Cope 及 David Toop 的兩本，看完後，應該可以對現代音樂有全面的了解。

OK.....我開始發牢騷了.......

基本上我不排斥各種不同類型的音樂
(但大部的國語流行歌曲除外)
所以當我發現您這個網站時 非常興奮
就像海綿吸到水一樣
但在臺灣資訊不足
買CD常常得用"訂"購的
等了個把個月不說...還得付出一兩倍的價錢
真是大嘆荷包不足......
就連想聽聽各種不同的音樂也得付出如此代價
真是個昂貴的嗜好 :(

可是去 http://www.public.iastate.edu/~brezovan/ae/disc/disc.html 之後 卻發現好像沒有那張雙CD的合輯

關於你說的那張autechre唱片，是我在評論中沒有說詳細， 那兩張一套的是僅在美國發行的特別版，在其他地方是分開發行。 也就是說我指的那張其實是 tri repetae 專輯加上 anvil vapre, 和 garbage 兩張小唱片 (EP)。

如果買不到兩張合輯，就只買garbage 也就行了。因為 最精彩的是在garbage 中的那首 garbagemix。（在那個 網址可以找到它們的編號。）

Message: 我本身是在台灣, 聽了實驗音樂也好幾年了, 不過一直對於台灣人聽音樂的方式感到可笑, 幾乎絕大多數的人對於他們所未聽過的音樂表現方式完全無法接 受, 也因此台灣似乎也沒什麼人玩較具實驗性的音樂. 由於大學時曾在台灣賣較為"非流行"音樂的唱片行打工, 也曾試著寫一些介 紹或樂評, 但現在我已經放棄了, 只是自己向國外郵購想要的item, 因為整個台 灣聽音樂的風氣仍停留在"easy listening"的階段，我想我無力也無法改變，所 以只能獨善其身了!!

很高興能遇到同樣喜歡音樂的朋友,我自己原本也是打算能在網路上發展一個集合 現代實驗音樂工業音樂/次文化藝術與文學的web site.不過目前所能作的並不多. 相較起來,前衛音樂網寫得實在是太好了!.:))原本就有打算先寫信跟你聯絡,不過 因為我還在唸書,學校課業很忙,所以很抱歉一直到今天才回信.有幾個問題想要請問 你,前衛音樂網是一群同樣喜歡實驗音樂的朋友們共出組成的嗎?這些專輯的評介觸及 的層面很廣,有日本噪音,甚至也包括了Trance music,更難得的是可以得知大陸方面 的創作情形.對了,gourd也是來自台灣的嗎?聽說你也有在創作電子音樂,更使得我產 生一些好奇心.我自己也對這些音樂很有興趣,平常是在台灣的一份青年文化刊物 "破週報(POTS)"上的專欄介紹一些現代音樂或前衛實驗音樂,以前也有在朋友的 一份刊物"NOISE"寫音樂介紹......
